The most common problem with postcards and achieving the lowest postage rates is the space alloted for a Professional Mailer to imprint the recipient’s addresses and barcode. Siemons Mailing offers a free review of your artwork to insure that the lowest postage rate can be achieved.

These design requirements meet postal requirements for automated machining of your postcards by the Post Office. Please be sure your that your mailing panel layout complies.

YELLOW ZONE - No text with mailing information such as addresses, zipcodes, etc.
This will eliminate the risk of your postcards being returned to you by the Postal automation machining process. If necessary, an address can be placed in this area if it does not contain a state or zip code. The Post Office will scan this entire area for recipient addresses and zip codes.

RED ZONE - No text/graphics greater than 7% grayscale.
The only text allowed in the addressing area is the recipient mailing address. Unless instructed otherwise, we will automatically comply with these postal guidelines when imprinting the recipient's address.
